Another Friend Lost

Jackie: "It has been a very long time since our last post. I guess we just haven't felt like it....Cookie started to feel very tired last January. She didn't want to play anymore." Jackie: "When I asked her, she said she would rather rest."Jackie: "By the end of last summer, we knew she was going to be joining Annie at The Hunting Ground soon. I was so sad, but she told me not to worry. She reminded me that The Hunting Ground is a good place. It's where dogs wait for their friends and their people to join them."Jackie: "Cookie said it would be nice to sit in the warm sun and wait for Annie to find her."

Jackie: "Cookie said that when she saw Annie she would run to her and they would play in the green grass and the sun."

Jackie: "On the morning of December 31, 2007, after a long struggle with liver cancer, Cookie left to join Annie. Mama said it was hard to enter a new year without Cookie; Cookie was the best friend she ever had......Cookie was the best friend we ever had too, and she left large pawprints to fill."
