Sunday in a Sunbeam

It's GREAT to be HOME!!!!

Cookie: "It's great to be home; I sure hate being at the kennel."

Maxie: "I was SO SCARED that the family would never come back for us!"

Cookie: "I kept telling you, Little Girl, that the family always comes back for us.....boy I sure could use a bath!"
Jackie: "Not me; I could never use a bath. As for Maxie, it was her first time in the kennel, you know. The first time is always the most scary. I like being able to bark loudly all day long."

Cookie: "I noticed."

Maxie: "So did I."

Jackie: "Well, some of us have a great talent for barking. I think I am going to celebrate being home by having a good chew."Maxie: "Ooooo me too! I think I am going to have my chew in the laundry pile. It is soft and smelly."

Jackie: "I am teaching you well!"

Maxie: "Yep; it is you who first introduced me to the lovely smell of dirty socks, Jackie."Later........

Maxie: "It is so good to be home. I just want to snooze in warm arms...."Cookie: "Good family--warm couch--good friends.....good home."

Another Vet Visit

Cookie: "Did they take you to the groomer, Jackie?"
Jackie: "No, they took me to the vet. I had bad breath so the vet checked my mouth and teeth. I don't know if a bath would have been worse or not...."
Jackie: "I had to have my teeth cleaned."

Cookie: "Was it that bad?"

Jackie: "I guess not....I kind of fell asleep....when I woke up my mouth hurt. The vet said I have two infected teeth.....you know.....I guess I am a little sleepy still......"Jackie: "I have to......to......to take pills for a....couple of weeks.....and...."Jackie: ".....and.....I'm comfy here........"Cookie: "Jackie?"

Jackie: "Uh huh........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."

New Bowl

Maxie: "Dinnertime!.....wait....where's my little bowl?"Maxie: "I don't know about this....this is definitely not my bowl. Maybe this isn't my dinner....I wouldn't want to have one of the big dogs catching me eating out of the wrong bowl. Especially Cookie; she takes a very dim view of eating from other dogs' bowls."Maxie: "Sure is a shiny bowl. Well, it looks like my food....and it sure smells like my food."Cookie: "Oh, Maxie! EAT ALREADY! Mama got you a new bowl; you are growing and you needed a bigger bowl."Maxie: "Thanks for clearing that up for me Cookie. I'm hungry!"
