Warm Home, Warm Family

Jackie: "Annie, it is nice to rest here all comfy and warm with you on this rocking chair."

Annie: "Yes, I like it too. We have a nice home-- Do you remember, I have not always lived with you."

Jackie: "That is right--I had forgotten. This family got me first when I was a puppy and then you came to live with us later."

Annie: "I lived outside in a pen for the first few years of my life. I had lots of puppies, but I did not have a family that loved me or kids to play with me."

Jackie: "I remember when you came here to this family. I remembered that you were my mother."

Annie: "And I remembered that you were my puppy."

Cookie: "I had another home before I came to live here too, but it was a nice one. I had my very own girl that still loves me and I still love her. She is a grown up lady now; when she went away to school, she wanted me to live with kids who would play with me."
Jackie: "It is nice to live with kids. They take us for walks and the best part is they sneak us food from the table. The beef roast was good tonight!"

Jackie: "Annie, weren't you glad to come and live here?"

Annie: "Yes I was. I was scared at first. I had never been a house pet before and I didn't know what the rules were."

Cookie: "But we showed you. "

Annie: "I am glad to be safe and warm and I am glad to have a family that takes care of me."

Jackie: "Yes....it sure is nice to rest all warm and comfy here with you on this rocking chair....."
