A New Ball is a Wonderful Thing

Jackie: "Hi Valerie! What do you have there?!"







Jackie: "OOOOhhh!! Valerie, did you bring me a package of new balls!!!? I want them now!"





















Cookie: "I like tennis balls too, and I am very good at fetching a ball."

Jackie: "You like them, but not as much as me."

Cookie: "I do too!"

Valerie: "Jackie, the balls are for both you and Cookie to share. It is more fun to play ball with both of you."

Jackie: Well, first me!"

Cookie: "It is one of the best things ever to be out in the sunshine and grass with a new ball and a pal!"

Jackie: "We do have fun together, don't we Cookie?"

Cookie: "We sure do. You make me laugh!"

Jackie: "A new ball is almost as good as eating."

Cookie: "Almost."
